I started Stanford as a product design major when I had a family emergency. I took time away to center myself, grow, and now I’m back taking names. I’m currently back in Product Design, focusing on designing products for extreme environments, eventually designing for the commercial space industry.
This focus started with the desire to own my own hotel in outer space. I eventually realized that if there would be a luxury hotel in outer space, we need to create products that can withstand the unique conditions of outer space while still being products that the average space tourist would like to use.
Since this field does not currently exist, I’ve broadened my scope to focus on products for extreme environments. Some products that I would be interested in designing are those for coastlines affected by global warming, products to withstand higher temperatures and products that can be used along borders.
